Fear of national survival and hunger, that is what the Japanese have been working with for the past 160 years.
Come to think of it, during the Edo period(1603-1868), Japanese people lived a carefree life.
Then, in 1853, at the end of the Edo period, the dream of peace was dashed when the Black Steamships arrived from the USA. Japan thought it might be crushed by the West, just like China. Since then, we have been running forward. The result was Japan’s defeat in World War II.
The shock of the war made us think that we might starve this time. And so, we ran forward again. That was the miracle of economic growth.
Then, at the beginning of 1990, we realized, “What are we going to do with all this work? For 45 years after the war, and for 150 years after the black steamships, we had been working nonstop.
Japan’s bubble economy was the first of its kind in the world. The next global bubble( 2007-2008)is following in Japan’s footsteps. A man named Tsuneo Iida, a former professor at Nagoya University, once said, “The developed countries have been the first to realize the true nature of capitalism. He said that the developed countries have been pushing capitalism, which is inherently unsuitable for human beings, to the limit of their capabilities.
The developing countries will continue to follow the path of the developed countries until they have a TV, a car, and a computer in the family or more. After that, however, they will be able to relax and enjoy their time. Of course, it will take some time.
Therefore, since 1990, the Japanese have been leading the world in conducting experiments to see what will happen when humans become affluent. For some time to come, we will be returning to the Edo period. The shift of young people to freelancers is a manifestation of this trend.
However, the problem of how to survive without resources is still latent in Japan. If they only eat their way out, they will eventually run out of assets. Unemployment and the working poor are signs of this.
We can see that the Japanese are conducting the first experiment of mankind.

Now it is said in Japan we have experienced loss for 30 years and
losing relative position in the world economy(from the second to the fourth
after Germany this year).
