The 100 Best Business Books of All Time (book review)

Kodansha 2009, by Covert, Sattersten

In the United States, more than 10,000 business books are published annually. The two authors of this book run an information company and have been recommending many good business books for the past 25 years. The 100 best of their vast collection of business books are presented in this book.

The 100 books cover a variety of topics. Of course, being business books, most of them are about companies. leadership, business strategy, marketing, organizational management, entrepreneurship, how to come up with ideas, and so on.

But also, because it is a business book, it includes everything about life, happiness, guidelines for living, ways of thinking, human relations, and so on. As a reader, it is worthwhile to read any one of the books, or even one part of the introduction to a book, if it tugs at your heartstrings, rather than learning from all 100 books. And in this book, you can find that somewhere.

The book is also well written. Not only does it introduce the original book, but it also allows the reader to relate other books in the same volume, as well as introduce more books. It is kind in many ways. The authors are veterans in the field of business book introductions.

Thankfully, many of the books introduced here have been translated into Japanese.

In any case, this book is a reminder of the greatness of the U.S., a country where 30 business books, including this one, are published every day.
